Super Sedan Head Plate Technical Notes
It is the view of the Technical Committee that it is OK to fit the removable overhead plate to the rollcage without welding the bolt heads.
Head Plate: It is the view of the Technical Committee that it is OK to fit the removable overhead plate to the rollcage without welding the bolt heads. It is impossible to fit the plate properly and remove it with the bolts welded so it is commonsense to allow this for driver safety.
As per the Super Sedan Specification book, page 41 section 45 must be adhered to. Some cylinder heads from Nascar Engines have arrived in Australia. These cylinder heads have splayed or canted valve configuration and are therefore not permitted on Chev, Chrysler or Toyota Engines. Therefore SB2 and SB2.2 and also RO7 cylinder heads are NOT permitted. These engines must NOT be sealed or used for competition in Australia.
