Share

A very big field of drivers have entered for Round 7 of the GWN7 Metabo WA Modified Sedans Series to be conducted this Saturday Night (February 25th) at Margaret River Speedway in the Southwest of Western Australia.

The night which doubles as the Auto One Margaret River Masters will see current points leader Jason Pearce looking to continue his brillant season in his Protek Carpentry and Fencing Services Ford Falcon.

Pearce will have his hands full with the biggest field of the series so far entered for this round with a number of big names making their return at Margaret River, including Geraldton round winner Peter Fraser and 2007 State Champion Shane Brittain.

Sean Theyer who has already won two rounds of this years series including the last round at Narrogin will be looking for another good run at Margaret River, along with current state champion Mick Johnson who was unlucky not to win at Narrogin after being sidelined with gearbox problems while leading the feature race.

Jurien Bay veteran John Purser who currently sits in second place in the 2011/2012 GWN7 Metabo WA Modified Sedans Series standings, will be hoping to have a good run at Margaret River so he's within striking distance of the lead heading into the final round at Collie on 10 March 2012.  Local Margaret River driver Richard Nelson will finally make his long awaited return to Modified Sedan racing at this weekend's round aboard his Augusta Skip Bins Holden Commodore after having alot of success in Production Sedan racing in recent times.

Carnarvon based brothers Dylan and Zane Mogg will once again make the long trip down from the northwest with the pair using the last few rounds of the GWN7 Metabo series as preparation for the State Title to be held at their home track on the 18th and 19th of May 2012.

Racing will commence at the earlier time of 5pm this Saturday evening with drivers contesting three heat races followed by the Col's Fibreglass Top Six Shootout to decide the starting positions for the 20 Lap Feature Race. Production Sedans and Junior Sedans will also be on the program with the live audio of the event to be broadcast at www.speedwaysedans.com by the media manager for Speedway Sedans Australia Mr Jason Crowe.
