A last lap, outside passing move by Marc Giancola, secured the series win at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday night, in the third round of the Super Sedan Summer Series.

In a great Feature Race, Dustin Higgs and Marc Giancola put on a classic duel in the concluding stages, after Giancola reeled in the lead Higgs had created early on in the race, after the pair started together on the front row of the grid. Higgs got the better of the start, which left Giancola to chase throughout.

Three laps from the end, Giancola caught Dustin Higgs, and made the move on the outside exiting turn two on the last lap, to take the lead for the first time, in the fifteen lap Feature race.

Giancola would defeat Dustin and Gary Higgs, who would close quickly in the final stages.

Earlier in the night Dustin Higgs, won the opener from Giancola and Gary Higgs, while Frank Does turned back the clock in heat two, winning convincingly from Giancola and Gary Higgs.

Peter Lyall, Shayne Reid and Murray Iwanow were consistent throughout the night, while State Champion Kodee Brown, who won the last round would suffer motor problems, and did not appear after the opening heat.

The Super Sedan Summer Series moves to SmokeFree Collie Speedway on 21 November 2009, for the fourth round of the series.
