 :: PRESS RELEASE ::
:: Super Sedan Series Moves To Smokefree Collie Speedway

Tuesday, November 17, 2009
Jason Crowe - SSA Media

After two consecutive rounds at the Perth Motorplex, the Super Sedan Summer Series this Saturday night, moves to the Smokefree Collie Speedway for the fourth round of the West Australian series.

The entry list is impressive, with State Champion Kodee Brown making the trip from Broome, to take on current series leader Gary Higgs. Brown won the second round of the series, but mechanical problems kept the State Champion quiet in the third round.

Higgs started the series well, dominating the first round Northern swing in Newman, Port Hedland and Tom Price, and has finished on the podium in rounds two and three, to hold a slender lead over son, Dustin, who has narrowed the margin to just ten points, going into the fourth round, with some very consistent results.

Marc Giancola won the third round of the series, and has an impressive record at the Collie venue and will be difficult to beat again on Saturday night. After a few teething problems, Giancola was back to his brilliant best in round three, and is sure to make inroads into his eleventh position on the series pointscore.

Bert Vosbergen is also entered for the event, at a venue he loves, and will be hoping for better fortunes after his temperamental Pantera showed glimpses of the potent power it posesses at the Motorplex.

Terry Green, Kevin Bell, Peter Lyall and Murray Iwanow are also all part of the field entered, for the six heat races and 20 lap Feature event.

Racing at the Smokefree Collie Speedway commences at 6.00pm, and will be covered live on the Internet (ventrillo network)
