The half way mark of the Super Sedan Summer Series occurs this Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex, with the sixth round of the Statewide series in Western Australia.
After last Saturday nights bruising encounter at the Kalgoorlie Speedway, where only five cars finished, teams have regrouped for Saturday nights event, with eighteen entries for the inaugural Sedan Muster.
Courtesy of winning the Feature Race on Saturday night, Gary Higgs has extended his lead in the pointscore, and will be looking to extend that advantage further at the Perth Motorplex.
The field is without Marc Giancola who won the last Motorplex round, as he competes in the second round of the 30/30 at Charlton Raceway in Toowoomba, but it does have Keith Higgs, Murray Iwanow, Frank Does and Dustin Higgs in the field, all of whom have shown great speed throughout the series so far.
State Champion Kodee Brown will have his crew working throughout the week to repair the Monaro, after a heavy collision with Dustin Higgs at Kalgoorlie.
Bert Vosbergen will perform double duties on Saturday night, racing also in the Late Model division along with the Super Sedans. Vosbergen appears to have gotten to the bottom of the gremlins in the Pantera, setting the fastest time at Collie in round four.
Kemble Aylett and Ken Reid have also entered for their first events of the series, making up the eighteen car field.
Two heat races, a top six dash and extended Feature Race are planned for the Super Sedans on Saturday night, with racing at the Perth Motorplex commencing at 6.00pm. Live Audio of the race meeting can be found at www.motorplex.com.au
