 :: PRESS RELEASE ::
:: Two Nights Of Super Sedans At Motorplex

Tuesday, February 02, 2010
Jason Crowe - SSA Media

Round Nine of the Super Sedan Summer Series continues this weekend at the Perth Motorplex, as a quality field takes part of Friday and Saturday night, as the Super Sedan field plays major support to the World Series Sprintcar event.

State Champion, Kodee Brown has been the standout driver at the last two rounds, winning both in Albany and the Perth Motorplex, moving into second place on the point standings behind Gary Higgs.

Higgs, who had a disastrous round eight by his own standards, still holds a comfortable lead in the overall series, and it is unlikely that he will have two bad rounds in a row.

Frank Does and Kemble Aylett, have both been impressive in recent weeks, and will join Marc Giancola, Peter Lyall, Darren Larson and Dustin Higgs, amongst others in the twenty strong field.

The field also includes Jamie Oldfield, who will drive Bert Vosbergen's Pantera. Oldfield who is both prominent in Late Models and Street Stock, is looking forward to the challenge of driving the Pantera. A fortnight ago, Oldfield won his one and only heat (due to other committments) in the WA Street Stock title, before winning the C Main from the back of the field, and then was in third place in the B Main, when a flat tyre ended his run. Oldfield will certainly add another dimension to an already strong field.

The Super Sedans will have a series of heats over both nights along with a Feature race on Saturday night, with racing starting at 6.00pm on both nights.
