Barring some extraordinary miracle, Gary Higgs will win the 2009 2010 WA Super Sedan Summer Series, which concludes this Saturday night at the Perth Motorplex, in Western Australia.
Higgs has held the lead in the series throughout the season, which commenced at Newman on 25 October 2009. His lead of 24 points over Kodee Brown, maybe eroded on Saturday night, but to lose the series he would have to fail to finish one heat, and finish behind Brown in the other two, to lose the series, which has a modified point system of 20, 18, 16 etc.
Higgs who last weekend finished second in a thrilling State Title, deserves the victory having attended every event on the calendar and has won several of the Feature events along the way.
Behind Brown is Dustin Higgs, who will finish third in the series regardless, and will be full of confidence after winning the Warrie 5000 at Mt Barker on Saturday.
Saturday nights field also included State Champion Marc Giancola, Keith Higgs who finished third in the same event, Kemble Aylett and Darren Larson.
Racing at the Motorplex commences at 6.00pm WST.
