One of the most impressive list of Super Sedans have assembled for this weekends Isuzu Trucks Australia NQ Title being held at Mareeba Speedway.

Heading the list of drivers is the current Queensland Champion Matt Pascoe from Mudapilly who comes off his record breaking 5 Queensland Titles in a row at Gympie a fortnight ago.

Pascoe (a former national champion) has won everything there is to win in the Super Sedan division and is a massive inclusion for this weekends event.

Also among the nominations is former national champion Steve Jordan who comes off a runner-up finish in the series grand final in Bundaberg last weekend.

Jordan is an excitement machine and will relish the long straights that Mareeba has to offer. New South Welshman, Tyson Moon who hails out of Bega adds some interstate flare to the field. Moon finished third last weekend in Bundaberg and joins the impressive of field of Supers heading north this weekend.

Kingaroy’s David Musch is also among the nominations and comes into this event after a fourth place finish in the Queensland Title a fortnight ago. Musch had shown has very impressive speed this season and will be a prominent figure in this event.

Townsville’s Trent Wilson has travelled to every part of the country supporting Super Sedan racing and despite being a 400km one way trip to Mareeba, will be the closest event to home he’s done this season.

Wilson was dynamite in Archerfield a few weeks ago in the GP53 where he finished fourth along with a top 10 finish in an almighty field at the Queensland Title in Gympie.

Rockhampton’s Brendan Doyle will make the trip north to also contest the Isuzu Trucks Australia NQ Title along with Townsville duo Mick Phillips and Stacey Lee, as well as Tolga’s Ross Mackenzie who’ll fly the flag for Far North Queensland.

The Super Sedans will contest 3 rounds of heats all paying heat money before contesting an exciting pole shuffle that pays $100 to win.

The winner of the pole shuffle will the have the option courtesy of Isuzu Trucks Australia, to invert the field for the feature race and pocket an extra $400 then and therefore making their pole shuffle win worth $500.

The feature race will then be contested over 25 laps and pays $2,500 to win, $1,500 for second and $1,000 for third. Racing will start at 5pm and also include the Cush Clothing Modified Sedan NQ Title, along with the opening round of the Autobarn Formula 500 Series.

Pit gates open at 1pm with public gates swinging open from 3pm. The Cush Clothing Merch Trailer will be in town for this event and will be open in general admission from 3pm.

This event will not be live streamed.
